Players Unknown Battle Ground, in short PUBG, has become a big hit among the mobile gamers . It has become one of the most used names in the world of technology.

PUBG is a hard core multiplayer online shooting game which provides intense console like game play and stunning high resolution graphics which no other mobile game could provide. It is a free to play game which adds more players to it. Since its release on 19 march 2018, it has gained over 100 million downloads.

PUBG has gained popularity among teenagers and students the most who think of it as a great way to relieve stress. They are stuck to screen for hours unaware of their duties,

This situation has poked the interest of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While listening to a woman talking about her son’s online gaming addiction at Pariksha Pe Charcha, Modi Asked –“Yeh PUBG waala hai kya?” drawing cheers and applause from the audience.

There have been concerns among parents that these online games are diverting children’s focus from studies. Reports of such incidents keep popping up every now and then. And now at Pariksha Pe Charcha event too, PUBG hogged the limelight.

So what is PM’s solution to addictive games like PUBG? A pretty decent one, actually. Modi maintained a neutral stand on the matter. “Technology is a problem as well as a solution. If we wish that our kids move away from technology, that will not be good. It will be like asking children to go back on progress.” He said.

“So we should encourage our kids to use technology, but how this technology is used id important…..is technology turning kids into robots or is it making him humane. Parents should take interest in how kids use technology from time to time.” He added

To do some damage control some educational institutes have banned the game. The state education department in Gujarat has issued ban on PUBG in all preliminary schools. Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has also banned PUBG inside its Campus.
